A village between land and sea

Tamarin has a unique atmosphere  that of a village that has remained true to itself, where rivers, mountains and ocean meet.Fishermen, surfers, and Mauritian families share everyday life in a warm, easygoing spirit. People live outdoors, dressed light, in sync with the sun. Nothing flashy, just real. And that’s exactly what makes Tamarin so special.

What excites us at Eko Savannah is knowing that our future travelers will discover a setting that is not expected in Mauritius. Even for us Mauritians, it is surprising to experience this sensation of infinity: a peaceful savannah surrounded by mountains, only a few minutes from the beach. Tamarin is undoubtedly one of the few places in the world where you can experience the softness of the lagoon, the beauty of hiking and the energy of a coastal village at the same time. We look forward to welcoming you there and sharing this unique experience.

Surf, Dolphins, and Unforgettable Sunsets

Tamarin is all about golden sand, rugged beauty, and a river that flows straight into the open sea, with no coral reef to break the waves. In the morning, take a boat ride to spot wild dolphins   they often show up, reliably and gracefully.
On the beach, locals and visitors surf, bodyboard, play in the waves, or simply marvel at the stunning sunsets.

There are no rows of loungers or loud music in Tamarin, just Mauritian families and travellers enjoying the moment. People sit on the sand, improvise picnics, and chat to the rhythm of the ocean.

And don’t miss the two Taba-J shacks, local food stalls where a friendly lady   often with her mum   serves steaming Chinese dumplings. Sit facing the sea and savour Mauritian street food in all its humble glory.

In Tamarin, the ocean isn’t just a view, it's a presence.Se la kot leker Morris bat dousman, lor ritm vag ek sega Here, the heart of Mauritius beats softly, in the rhythm of waves and sega music.
