Pour son atmosphère unique. À Tamarin, pas de tourisme de masse, juste l’essentiel : la mer, les montagnes et la vraie vie mauricienne. On y séjourne pour se reconnecter à la nature, goûter à la liberté, et vivre au rythme du soleil.
Tamarin est un village à part, entre baie vivante et collines paisibles. Surfeurs, pêcheurs et familles locales s’y croisent dans une ambiance simple et authentique. Tamarin, c’est la promesse d’un séjour sans artifice, ancré, vrai.
Tamarin se niche sur la côte ouest de l’île Maurice, dans le district de Rivière Noire. Il est facilement accessible depuis les resorts MJ Holidays, dont Eco Savannah, qui se trouve directement sur place, ou Marguery Villas, à seulement 7 km.
Tamarin est moins touristique que Grand Baie, plus sauvage que Flic-en-Flac et plus paisible que Le Morne. C’est un lieu à taille humaine, encore préservé, parfait pour celles et ceux qui cherchent l’authenticité plutôt que l’agitation.
Des vols directs relient plusieurs villes françaises à l’aéroport international SSR de Maurice. Depuis l’aéroport, comptez environ 1h15 de route pour rejoindre Tamarin, en transfert privé, en voiture ou avec notre assistance sur place.
Les mois de mai à décembre sont parfaits : climat sec, ciel clair, températures douces. En été austral (janvier à mars), l’ambiance est plus chaude et parfois plus humide, mais toujours propice à la baignade et aux couchers de soleil.
Tamarin bénéficie d’un microclimat agréable, ensoleillé toute l’année. L’ouest de l’île est moins arrosé que le reste de Maurice. Attendez-vous à des journées lumineuses, une chaleur douce en hiver austral, plus tropicale en été, idéale pour vivre dehors.
