More than just a visit, it is a Meeting with the Green Soul of Mauritius, where living heritage blends with the gentle rhythm of the tropics.

A Botanical Garden Steeped in History and Scents

In the northwest of Mauritius, just steps from Port Louis, Pamplemousses Garden Tells the story of a botanical dream born in the 18th century.

It was here, on the grounds of the former Mon Plaisir estate, that Pierre Poivre planted the first seeds of a plant world gathered from the four corners of the globe.

Nutmeg trees, camphor trees, clove trees... each species reflects the exchanges of the past and encounters of the present.

Today Known As The Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Garden, it still bears the mark of the botanists and travelers who shaped it, blending scents from distant shores with the murmur of Mauritian time.
